I worked with Susmita this summer for the math SAT and one thing I appreciated about her was how patient she was, as well as how receptive she proved to be when I needed additional help with assignments through our Whatssup conversations. I will say, however, that I wish we had gone over my mistakes and discussed them in detail before focusing on quantity and doing foundations. Despite that helping, I feel like we should have approached a different strategy towards the end. Nevertheless, I was able to recognise patterns and remember where each formula was needed. I just wish she had adapted the program to my individual needs, and more importantly, I wish we had insisted on each mistake from the practice test, no matter how hard, before jumping to foundations. This would have been useful if we had more sessions, but with the time constraints, I would have rather worked on the easier exercises on my own, after the call. I really enjoyed these SAT courses and found them extremely helpful. The lessons were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow, even for more difficult topics. What I appreciated the most was how everything was explained step by step, which made complex concepts much easier to understand. The practice exercises were very useful and helped me improve my confidence and test skills. Thanks to these courses, I feel much better prepared for the SAT. I had an amazing experience during my SAT preparation for Math and English. The guidance I received was incredibly structured, supportive, and tailored to my needs, which made a huge difference in my progress. Thanks to her help, I was able to achieve a 1470 (a 200 point difference from the start of the course) on the SAT, a score I’m really proud of. Even more importantly, I got into my top universities (Fordham in New York, Emory etc.) , which wouldn’t have been possible without the strong foundation and confidence I built during the prep process. Here’s why you should believe me when I say that Susmita is a highly skilled tutor in all respects. When I decided that I wanted to pursue higher education in the US, the Math section of the SAT exam intimidated me a whole lot ( I’ve always aced Humanities & Art subjects, but Math & Science have never been my cup of tea). In less than two months, Susmita’s constant support and deep empathy enabled me to score a 670 in the Math section (my initial score was around 450). I ended up being admitted to 6 top US universities: Drexel (also in the Honors Program & STAR Scholars Program), DePaul (Honors), Emerson (Honors), Pratt, Syracuse and Wagner). My mentor was very patient and engaged in my learning and training process; which I really appreciate as someone dealing with three learning difficulties. She taught me how to make a CV, how to organize my ideas and what activities I need to do in order to create a suitable portofolio for my college of choice. The materials provided by her were truly a game changer! She was very thoughtful, handled things professionally, while creating a bond outside the student-mentor relationship! I was given the opportunity to work with her on my SAT journey and her whole method of explaining each lesson and doing her best to give me the easiest examples to understand the concepts stuck with me to this day! She was very kind, helped me with all kinds of problems. By the end, our sessions together did not even feel like “tutoring”, it just felt like a long, open, friendly conversation, while keeping it professional as usual! I truly recommend her SAT course, but I’m sure that no matter what course you’re taking, she’ll still be great!
